Balloon Columns vs. Balloon Stacks: What’s the Difference?

If you’re new to balloon décor, the terminology can get confusing. Two of our most popular items, balloon columns and balloon stacks, look similar at first glance, but they serve very different purposes.

Let’s break it down.

Balloon Columns

Columns are tall, standing structures created from spiraled or patterned balloons. They're ideal for:

  • Entrances

  • Stages

  • Walkways

  • Party zone markers

Columns are one size at MVP and start at $100, built with standard matte latex balloons unless upgraded.

Balloon Stacks

Stacks come in two styles: Birthday Stacks and Luxe Stacks.

Birthday Stacks (starting at $65):
Compact, adorable, and great for smaller spaces or quick photo setups.

Luxe Stacks (starting at $125):
Larger, themed, more detailed, and perfect for when you want a show-stopping focal point.

Stacks are arranged creatively rather than in a tall spiral and they’re more sculptural and playful.

Which should you choose?

Choose columns if you want height or symmetry.
Choose stacks if you want personality and themed flair.

Still not sure? MVP can help you pick the best option for your space.
